We are Uncommon Land. Unlike other practices, we are a collective of landscape architects, architects and urban designers who put people at the heart of our work. With an understanding of human experience, combined with the principles of sustainable design, we are passionate about creating beautiful, inclusive and sustainable spaces for the communities they serve.
Our approach is highly collaborative, and our inter-disciplinary team is international, taking on projects of varying size and scope. Working from our studio in London, we apply international expertise at a local level, tailoring designs to specific conditions and cultural requirements. Whether working alone or as part of an integrated team, we are bold but considered in our work, investing time and resources to find the right landscape solution to solve our clients’ challenges.
From strategy and masterplanning to parks and squares, we approach each landscape design as a form of storytelling; one which enables memorable and meaningful interactions with the built environment. By pulling threads of narrative through landscape, we help to bind the social fabric of places together. We believe this is critical for creating imaginative urban spaces, lively parks and vibrant new communities.
Everything we do is driven by our aspiration to use good landscape design to balance the needs of people with those of the planet. And it makes good business sense! Flexible, adaptable and efficient urban spaces attract occupiers and investors and build communities which generate economic prosperity and social wellbeing.
Our team shares a passion for design and a desire to influence the world through our work. Our success is grounded in our core values of creativity, collaboration and authenticity, which define who we are as a business and how we approach our work. We believe these values are the essential ingredients that drive the growth and success of our practice.
We’re always looking for dynamic individuals to join our rapidly expanding team.
If you are curious, committed and want to change the world through beautiful urban design, we want to hear from you. Check the vacancies listed below, or send an email to email@example.com with your CV and covering letter explaining what you could bring to the practice.
